The Beginning

This is my first post, and will introduce you to what this blog is all about,
If you are following this blog then you probably already know me in real life, if not then welcome!
This blog is the documentation of my mission trip to Brazil from August 17-31, 2013, it will be an exciting new chapter in my life and walk in faith.
You are probably asking why Brazil and how this all began? well let me start from the beginning.
The summer of 2012 was an interesting summer for me, I was searching for many answers as to what God wanted me to do for the up coming year, 2013. By the end of that summer God had introduced to me the idea of going on a missions trip, this was something I had always wanted to do but never had the opportunity to do so. And so I began praying and thinking about this.
As I went back to my daily life of school and such God began to fill my head more and more of this idea of missions, but I did not know where, or when or even how He wanted me to go. Did He want me to make it a life long profession? or just a short terms trip? these questions along with many others filled my head. Then in late November of 2012 God gave me an answer, an elder in my church had decided he wanted to go on a short term to trip with CBM (Canadian Baptist Missions) to Brazil. My father was told and then told me, I prayed about it and God said "Go!" and so we began this adventure.
The trip was to be in August 2013, from the 17th-31st, we would be working in a youth centre there with a local missionary.
And so that is how it begin, now for it to start! I hope you will be as excited as I am with this new adventure, please join me through this blog as I and my fellow team go and work with those in Brazil.
